Escaping to the great outdoors and adventure activities is becoming more and more popular however the inherant risks associated with these activities needs to be carefully managed.
Our Wildnerness First Aid Course concentrates on issues involved with the longer term care of casualties in remote environments.
The course covers first aid for the outdoor environment including primary and secondary survey of casualties and prolonged accident management.
The course also looks at suggested first aid equipment for the outdoors and how you may adapt / improvise your own equipment to supplement your first aid kit.
A lot more emphasis is placed on incident management, monitoring casualties and relaying information to rescue teams. We assume minimal equipment (similar to what is already on your back) and provide plenty of practical scenarios.
The course is suitable for outdoor enthusiasts, Scouts, Cadets, environmental consultants and professionals working in the outdoor industry.
